Our passion for renovations started with building the vision of our clients for their homes in Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge, Guelph, and surrounding areas. With over 30 years of experience in the home building industry, Stephen Gies founded Anckor Construction in 2000. He built his business on several important philosophies that he never tends to forget, including:

Our Process – How Anckor Construction Works with You
Your first step is to decide on your basic requirements, whether you’re looking for kitchen renovations or want a room addition built. The next step would be calling us for estimation. Our professionals will then come to your home to discuss your renovation project. And ideally, we provide you with a written quote of the project.
During the first meeting, we’ll go through the following items:
Project requirements – share your dream home renovation with us!
Timelines – what are you expecting for, and what is realistic?
Budget – what do you need to work with?
Measure area – Measure twice and cut once; words we live by.
Inspect structural features of the existing space.
Creative inspiration – do you want us to provide you with interior designs or if you can come up with your own interior designs, we can make the magic happen.
Building permits – will one permit be necessary?
Our warranty – we’ll let you know what is covered under warranty and what’s not.
Later, we’ll process complete information and provide you with a quote, which includes all the features of your project. Now, we’ll leave it to your decision, whether you’ll hire us or another renovation company. We’re happy to provide you with many references of our past clients; you can contact them to ask about us.
